Walking Each Other Home

2025-26 poetry circles focus on the theme of walking together with each other through life’s difficulties and to bear witness to the strength and resilience we bring to this journey. These circles are open to all regardless of experience.

Home

We all have some association with it. Starting April 10, 2021, we will meet on a Saturday for six months, and share poetry asking these questions:

  1. Is home a place that keeps you safe?

  2. Is home a place you came from, and Is home is a place you seek to return to?

  3. Is home a place of ownership?

  4. Is home a feeling? Like nostalgia.

  5. Is home a place you share with those you love?

  6. Is home a place you love?

We will use poetic forms like rooms. Each a container in which we will find and create a different place; a different home. We will enter from a place of inquiry and you will ask these questions leaving with a deeper understanding of what home means to you, and how it has shaped your story.

All sessions will be held virtually, on a Saturday from 10:30am-12pm EST. The cost is US$30/session, paid via PayPal. The first session on April 10, 2021 is offered at 50% discount during Poetry Month. A discount of 10% is offered if you register for all 5 remaining sessions for a total of $135. Sessions are limited to 20 participants.
